Jr High & Sr High Camp Opportunities

We have several United Methodist sponsored camps and retreats for youth in Jr High and High School throughout the year! Come and enjoy the snowy wilds of Mingus for Winter Camp, or escape the heat of the Valley of the Sun for any of our Summer Camp experiences!


Super Camp (June 25 - 30, 2012)
For children and youth entering grades 3 through 9.

Sr. High Camp (July 2 – 7, 2012)
For youth entering grades 9 to 12, and graduated seniors.

Odyssey Camp (July 9 – 14, 2012)
For youth entering grades 7 to 9.

In 2012, the fee to attend any of our week-long summer camps at Mingus Mountain will be $310 if registered by May 20. For late registrations, please add $35.

God’s kingdom is an upside down kingdom. God treasures those who are last and least and treasures each of us. At Super Camp, we will seek to live into the upside down Kingdom of God as we explore the parables of Jesus. Through outdoor learning, active games, music, drama, and more, come and discover how we can respond to God who can use even our smallest actions to build the upside down Kingdom of God.

Kingdom Secrets:
Unlocking the Treasure


Ever dream of finding buried treasure? In the movies, pirates search for buried treasure in order to find gold coins, precious jewelry, and riches beyond belief. What they don’t know is that the most precious of treasures is right in plain sight…in our Bibles! This year at Mingus Mountain Senior High Camp we will unlock the precious treasure found in the Bible by exploring the parables of Jesus. Through our explorations, we’ll discover everyday stories about everyday people, told by Jesus to help his followers understand the Kingdom of God…and in between, we’ll explore the beauty of God’s kingdom that is Mingus Mountain Church Camp. Youth entering grades 9-12 and graduated seniors are invited to our team of explorers! We hope you will join us on the treasure hunt of a lifetime!

Odyssey Camp

We are calling YOU, God is calling YOU -- to join in the Odyssey.  We’ll play, pray, laugh, rest, smile, share, worship, stargaze, dance, jump, throw Frisbee golf, explore, discuss, hike, learn, imagine, breathe.   We’ll practice and understand how our smallest acts of kindness can be so powerful.  We’ll share stories of how we ourselves have been God’s hands, God’s feet and God’s voice.  This Odyssey will be full of the gifts of God – Acceptance, Love and Grace – everything we need to fill our vessels for our travels as Disciples of Jesus.  We are calling YOU – join us in this unforgettable Journey!
