Camp Facilities
Mingus Mountain Camp & Retreat Center has a variety of facilities that can be utilized for large group camping experiences, small group meetings, local church retreats, and more. Below you will find descriptions of our accommodations and meeting spaces, as well as other specific use buildings and locations.

Retreat Cabins (3)
Agape Retreat Cabin, Harris Retreat Cabin, and Mariposa Retreat Cabin are large, comfortable retreat cabins for groups. Each of the retreat cabins has a front porch with benches, indoor stone fireplace, six separate sleeping rooms, women’s and men’s restrooms and showers, group meeting spaces and kitchenettes. "Rustic" Cabins (6)
Mingus Mountain Camp also has 6 "Rustic" cabins, simple single-room buildings with bunk beds to sleep 8 and no indoor restrooms. Campers using these cabins utilize restrooms in nearby LaPoint Hall. "VIP" Rooms (2) Mingus Camp's final accommodation option are 2 "VIP" Rooms at the base of LaPoint Hall. Each room features two twin beds and a private bath. (Guests must provide their own linens.) |
Meeting Spaces
LaPoint Hall
LaPoint Hall is the two-story Assembly Hall building. The upper floor, with 3,000 square feet and a simple sound system, is used for large group meetings, indoor worship and indoor recreation activities such as dances, yoga classes and group-building activities. A wraparound porch affords views across the meadow. The lower level includes women’s and men’s restrooms and showers and two VIP motel-style rooms. |
Mesa Hall Mesa Hall offers a smaller group meeting area than LaPoint, and can also be used as a sleeping cabin. Dining Hall The Dining Hall, which seats up to 120, offers delicious meals three times a day, as well as a hospitality bar with coffee and hot chocolate. The front porch of the Dining Hall has benches for relaxation. |
Other Places Of Interest
Prayer Labyrinth & Outdoor Chapel The Camp's Outdoor Chapel is located uphill from the first two retreat cabins, surrounded by the Ponderosa forest. With a stone altar, large wooden cross, and comfortable benches, the Chapel is an inspiring location for worship or conversation. The Camp's Labyrinth, located near the outdoor chapel, is a stone and gravel construction intended to encourage contemplation and silent reflection as one walks the path. |
Nurse’s Cabin is staffed by a nurse during United Methodist children’s and youth camps and has basic medical and first aid supplies.
Disc Golf Course with nine holes (executive course length) is located in 20 acres of forest in the camp. Golf discs are available at camp, or bring your own favorites. Volleyball/Basketball Court is located across from the Dining Hall near the meadow. Balls are available at camp. In addition, nearby are Tetherball , Horseshoes, and a Swingset. |
